Steering Group shared by POLICYMIX case study and the SCALES project met in South-Western Finland
Two EU FP7 funded biodiversity conservation projects analysing policy instruments, institutions and governance, POLICYMIX and SCALES www.scales-project.net/ now have a shared Steering Group in South-Western Finland. The two projects and their shared stakeholder interaction can produce synergies in terms of learning and also critical evaluation. While POLICYMIX focuses on assessing the impacts of economic instruments in a mix of policy instruments, the SCALES project analyses multilevel governance accross administrative levels and sectors as well as ecosystems. The stakeholders who contribute to the research inquiry represent mainly different levels and sectors of administration and NGOs. The Steering Group members met the two projects on 23 June 2011. They were excited to participate in an international dialogue and bring forward their practical experiences.
